Cookies Information

Fulfilling the obligations under Art. 10 of the Directive n. 95/46 / EC, Directive 2002/58 / EC, as updated by Directive 2009/136 / EC, Article 13 of Legislative Decree June 30, 2003, number 196, and the general measure (Doc. Web n. 3118884 ) of the Authority for the Protection of Personal Data, published in the Official Gazette no. 126 of June 3, 2014, record of the action n. 229 of 8 May 2014 regarding Cookie, we proceed with the information on those themes.

 

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text that are installed on your computer or smartphone and tablet when you surf the web. When you visited sites send cookies to the browser (eg Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera), which stores them and proposes them to the same sites when they revisit. Cookies may also be sent to your browser from web sites or from different servers, by third parties, this means that whilst browsing a specific website can be present elements from other sites that have these cookies such as images, sounds, maps, links to other pages.

Depending on the type of cookie and then of the objective with which it is used, are stored some data of the user, for example, to make more effective the use  of a site, to enable specific functionality, to monitor sessions visit.

In particular, the cookies allow you to store your preferences included, avoid repeatedly enter the same information during navigation (such as your username and password), to analyze the use of the services and content provided by a website to optimize the browsing experience and services.

Types of Cookies

Cookies are divided into main categories:

Technical cookies, normally installed by the owner or operator of the website, are intended to trasmit a communication over an electronic communications network, strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by 'subscriber or user to provide the service "(cfr. art.122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy law).

For installation of the Cookie Technicians we do not need a prior consent of the user.

Cookies technicians are further divided into:

Cookies or browsing session, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website, allowing, for example, to make a purchase or to authenticate to access restricted areas. These cookies are not stored permanently on the device that are deactivated automatically when closing the browser. This Cookies are related to the transmission of identification needed to allow a safe and efficient navigation on the pages. Session cookies do not allow in any way the acquisition of personal identification data.

Analytics Cookies, used to collect information on the use of the site anonymously and to achieve both a statistical analysis of page views. This analysis provides information and anonymous tips to improve the quality of the site. Cookies analytics can be sent from the site, both from third-party domains and not in any way allow the acquisition of personal identification data. Cookies analytics, if installed by third parties (eg. Google analytics), although collect data anonymously, shall be treated as cookie profiling.

Cookie features: similar to cookies technicians when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, such as the number of users and how they visit the site. These cookies allow the user browsing function of a set of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same.

Profiling cookies are used to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the same. These cookies are particularly invasive in the private sphere of the reason for the European and Italian regulations requires the user to be properly informed on the use of the same, so being able to express their consent.

They refers to the art. 122 because of the Privacy Act provides that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or a user or access to information already stored, are only allowed on condition that the contractor or the user has given consent after It has been informed by the simplified procedures referred to in Article 13 Privacy Act, paragraph 3 ".

NO_CACHE Indicates whether it is allowed to use cache.
PERSISTENT_SHOPPING_CART A link to information about your cart and viewing history if you have asked the site.
POLL The ID of any polls you have recently voted in.
POLLN Information on what polls you have voted on.
RECENTLYCOMPARED The items that you have recently compared.
STF Information on products you have emailed to friends.
STORE The store view or language you have selected.
USER_ALLOWED_SAVE_COOKIE Indicates whether a customer allowed to use cookies.
VIEWED_PRODUCT_IDS The products that you have recently viewed.
WISHLIST An encrypted list of products added to your Wishlist.
WISHLIST_CNT The number of items in your Wishlist.

 

How to disable cookies in your browser

Here's how to prevent new cookies from being installed and how to delete existing cookies. The exact procedure depends on which browser you are using.

Internet Explorer 9.0

To prevent new cookies from being installed

  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on Internet Options
  • Click on the Privacy tab on top
  • Move the slider up to the "Block all Cookies" button
  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on Internet Options
  • Click on the General tab which should be under "Browsing History" and click "Delete"

To delete existing cookies 

  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on Internet Options
  • Click on the General tab which should be under "Browsing History" and click "Delete"

Internet Explorer 8.0+

To prevent new cookies from being installed

  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on Internet Options
  • Click on the Privacy tab on top
  • Click on "Sites"
  • A new window should open called "Per Site Privacy Actions"
  • Type in the URL of the site in the "Address of website" box and click on Block

To delete existing cookies 

  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on 'Internet Options'
  • Click on the Privacy tab on top
  • Click on "Sites"
  • A new window should open called "Per Site Privacy Actions"
  • Under the "Managed websites" box should be a list of all the websites you have visited
  • To remove all cookies click on the "Remove all" button

Internet Explorer 8.0+

To prevent new cookies from being installed

  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on Options
  • Click on the Privacy tab on top
  • Click on the Advanced button
  • Select "Prompt" for both "First party cookies" and "Third Party Cookies"

To delete existing cookies 

  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on Options
  • Click on the General tab on top
  • In the "Browsing History" section, click on "Delete"
  • Click on "Delete Cookies"

Firefox 2.0+, 3.0+, 4.0+

To prevent new cookies from being installed

  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on Options
  • Click on the Privacy tab
  • Disable the box that says "Accept Cookies From sites"

To delete existing cookies 

  • Go to Tools in the menu bar
  • Click on Options
  • Click on the Privacy tab
  • Click on "Clear Now"
  • Select "Cookies"
  • Click on "Clear Private Data Now"

Google Chrome

To prevent new cookies from being installed

  • Click on the spanner icon in the top right of the browser
  • Click on "Options"
  • Click on "Under the Bonnet" (UK) / "Under the Hood" (US)
  • Click on the "Content settings" button in the Privacy section
  • Ensure that "Allow local data to be set" is selected
  • Select "Block sites from setting any data"

To delete existing cookies 

  • Click on the spanner icon in the top right of the browser
  • Click on "Options"
  • Click on "Under the Bonnet" (UK) / "Under the Hood" (US)
  • Click on the "Content settings" button in the Privacy section
  • Click on the "Clear browsing data" button

Safari

To prevent new cookies from being installed and delete existing cookies

  • Go to the Safari menu (icon in top right of browser) and select Preferences
  • In the popup window that appears, select the Security icon (a padlock)
  • Under "Accept Cookies", select the "Never" button
